The Constitution Square is the very centre of Athens, the most important square of the city and the heart of the political life of Greece. At the top level is the Greek Parliament, with the tomb of the unknown soldier beneath it. The tomb is guarded by the “Evzones”, the elite soldiers of the Presidential Guard, dressed in a special uniform with a pleated skirt.
